Andy Dix is a parent of two daughters with ADHD. His wife was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. Dix has dedicated his life to helping foster much needed awareness and education about ADHD. He is a volunteer coordinator and leader for his local chapter of CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) in North East Indianapolis. Dix shares about his family's experiences with ADHD.

Undiagnosed, untreated ADHD can wreak havoc in a person's life. It can also impact their loved ones. ADHD Awareness Week is a time to celebrate the progress made in ADHD education and advocacy, understand the work that still needs to be done, and raise awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. Without it, many children and adults continue to struggle.
