Our American Fork Treatment Avenues
If you’re considering treating your pain or symptoms through our American Fork chiropractic services, but are unsure of what to expect, here is a rundown of some of our treatment procedures.
When you come in for your initial consultation, we will:
- Provide an in-depth overview of what your spine looks like through a full set of specialized X-rays and a chiropractic spinal examination
- Listen carefully to your experiences with your pain, where and when it hurts, when and how it started, along with your overall health and well-being
- Complete it with an analysis of your symptoms, X-rays, and examinations and decide an efficient and comprehensive treatment plan
Chiropractic Treatment Has Numerous Benefits
Depending on where your pain is coming from and what has caused it, we will employ corrective spinal adjustments with our specialized chiropractic tables that help with misalignments, posture conditions, scoliosis conditions, as well as cold laser treatments and massage instruments.
Dry Creek Chiropractic can work with injuries for knee problems, sprains, strains, and other muscle, bone, and connective tissue conditions that are causing you pain. We can also help alleviate symptoms caused by allergies, depression, fatigue, bowel irregularities, and other such maladies just by improving the spine’s communications between the brain and the body.
We will also provide you with literature that explains your conditions and gives helpful advice on improving your lifestyle, and we will answer all your questions about chiropractic care and what our American Fork chiropractic services can do for you.
Most importantly, we want you to feel better and achieve a healthier and more productive way of life. Contact Dry Creek Chiropractic by calling 801-766-4113 to schedule your initial consultation, and begin a path to total health and productivity.
Does Chiropractic Really Work?
There remain many misconceptions about how effective chiropractic care really is. Here are some findings from studies done by chiropractors and orthopedic surgeons:
“Chiropractic treatment of low back pain, which affects 75 million Americans, is superior to the standard regimen administered by medical doctors, a major British study has concluded. Chiropractic almost certainly confers worthwhile long-term benefit in comparison with hospital outpatient management,” said Dr. T. W. Meade, a British medical doctor who headed the study conducted at 11 hospitals and chiropractic clinics.” Harvard Medical School Health Letter – Sept. 1990
A panel of 23 doctors headed by Dr. Stanley Bigos, MD, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, studied 3,900 medical articles on low back pain. Their conclusions were that “Chiropractor’s manipulation of the spine was more helpful than any of the following: traction, massage, biofeedback, acupuncture, injection of steroids into the spine, back corsets, and ultrasound.” Surgery was beneficial only in 1 out of 100 cases! Federal Medical Study Endorses Chiropractic for Back Pain – US Agency for Healthcare Policy and Research, December 8, 1994.
